Top 5 FASHION TIPS 2024

 THE TOP 5 FASHION TIPS!

Hey, I'm Daniel. When I first started my journey as a fashion content creator, I wished someone had been honest enough to offer practical fashion tips that could solve real-life problems. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way, wasting both time and money to figure things out on my own. Now, I'm here to help you with your journey, especially if you're just starting. I'll be upfront with you and give you practical advice because I don't want anyone else to waste their time and money. My goal is to mentor as many fashion content creators as possible and ensure they succeed. The 5 tips I'm going to share with you are based on my personal experiences, and I'm confident they will work for you as well.

BEFORE

This was me at the start: before I knew these tips, I had a poor choice of clothing, a weak sense of fashion, and didn't understand the basics of fashion.

AFTER

Now, this is me after applying my TOP 5 FASHION TIPS FOR 2024. These tips definitely changed my life, and I want you to experience them too!

THE TOP FIVE

This list is to make you dress better, look better, and feel better so please take them seriously and watch your fashion sense turn around, starting with:

1) Build a flexible wardrobe:

The shape of your wardrobe determines your style. For example, if all you have are black clothes, you'll end up wearing black all the time, and if all your clothes are baggy, you'll mostly be in baggy outfits. This can lead to being underdressed or out of place on various occasions. Building a versatile wardrobe is the key to dressing appropriately for any situation.

How to Build a Flexible Wardrobe

Here are some steps to help you build a more flexible wardrobe:

1)    Research Before Buying Clothes:

-    Look online or check out people whose style you admire to see what kind of clothes they wear. What pieces do they use often? What styles do they repeat? Asking these questions helps you focus your shopping. It prevents you from wasting time and money on clothes you won't wear or only wear once.

2)    Get the Basics:

Basics are essential because they allow you to create multiple outfits with minimal effort. Here's a list of basic pieces to start with:
-    T-shirts: Black, white, and brown.
-    Jeans: One pair of blue and one pair of black.
-    Cargo Pants: One pair of black and one of green or brown.
-    Pants: A pair of loose-fit pants.
-    Shorts: A pair of shorts and a pair of jorts (jean shorts).
-    Jackets: If you want a jacket, choose a basic color.
This combination of basics allows you to mix and match, creating many different outfits. Tip: Choose neutral colors and mix textures to add variety.

3 )   Avoid Overbuying:

-    When shopping, focus on pieces that complement your basics. Buying trendy items can be fun, but stick to a budget and ensure the pieces you purchase work with what you already have.
By following these steps, you'll be able to create a wardrobe that's not only flexible but also allows you to dress appropriately for various occasions. This way, you'll never feel out of place, and your wardrobe will be ready for anything.

2) Buy affordable but quality clothes:

-    Thrifting:

The one thing that will save your budget is thrifting. Never be ashamed to thrift because, to be honest, clothes are quite expensive, and for a beginner, you might have a limited budget. Always try your best to thrift. When I say thrift, I don't mean buying worn-out clothes. There are some great finds at thrift stores or markets that are in excellent condition. Take your time, thrift on your own, find the best pieces, and wear them with pride. Some of my favorite pieces are thrifted and remember, fashion isn't just about clothes; it's about how you style them. Don't let anyone intimidate you—many people can buy expensive clothes, but they can't buy style. In the end, it's the style that counts.

Thrifting has many benefits. It saves you money, gives you access to vintage pieces, and is sustainable for both you and the environment. Some sustainable brands, like SHEIN, H&M, and ZARA, can also be good options. However, the beauty of shopping for thrifted clothes is that sometimes you don't find the right clothes—the right clothes find you.

3) Accessories:

I can't overstate how crucial accessories are in fashion and in building an outfit. Accessories aren't meant to complicate your look but to complement it—so keep it simple, really simple. As Michael Kors once said, the perfect accessory can make the difference between looking ordinary and looking extraordinary, and he's right about that. In fact, you only need a few accessories to complement your outfit, which I'll detail below:

1) Wristwatch:

There are three kinds of watches you need. For everyday wear, choose something simple like a Casio or a G-Shock. For a casual look, a leather or chain watch is perfect. Lastly, you need something that stands out for special occasions. However, never trust a man who wears his watch on the wrong wrist.

2) Chain:

You just need two kinds: a simple chain and one that makes a statement. For everyday wear, a simple silver chain is a good choice. For something special, choose one that really speaks to you and reflects your personality.

3) Bracelet:

This is an accessory that adds more style to your wrist, making it look fancier. Bracelets should be special and meaningful. Choose ones that have a personal significance.
Other accessories to consider are sunglasses, caps, bags, and rings. At the end of the day, what really matters is that your accessories enhance your outfit, not detract from it.

4)Taking Care of Your Clothes:

It's essential to take care of your clothes properly, as many of us make the mistake of damaging our favorite pieces due to lack of maintenance. Often, clothes are neglected because they are not valued as they should be. However, clothes are assets, and what you have today might become unique or even vintage in the future. Here's how you can ensure your clothes last a long time and retain their value.

1. Knowing What to Hang and What to Fold:

- Foldable Items: Clothes like t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other tops without buttons tend to lose their shape when hung. The best way to preserve these pieces is by folding them neatly and storing them in a cool, dry place.

- Hangable Items: Jackets and button-up shirts should be hung on hangers to maintain their shape. If you fold these items, they can develop creases or lose their structure.

- Rolling Technique for Pants: Instead of folding trousers, try rolling them. This technique helps retain their original shape while saving space in your wardrobe.

2. Washing Tips:

Improper washing is a common reason clothes get ruined. Here are some tips for washing your clothes to extend their life:

- Know Your Fabrics: Different fabrics require different care. For example, delicate fabrics like silk or wool need gentle handling, while cotton can withstand a bit more agitation.

- Follow the Instructions: Always check the care label on your clothes for specific washing instructions. Some items require cold water, hand washing, or air drying.

- Avoid Overwashing: Washing clothes too frequently can wear out the fabric. Not every item needs to be washed after each wear. For example, jeans can be worn several times before washing, while t-shirts may need more frequent washing.

- Use Proper Detergents: Choose mild detergents for delicate fabrics, and avoid harsh chemicals that can damage clothing.

By following these tips, you can ensure your clothes remain in good condition for a long time, saving you money and helping the environment by reducing waste.

5) Dress for Yourself:

Most importantly, live for yourself and dress according to your style. Embrace your body shape, and don't be insecure or emotional about it. Know what looks good on you and what doesn't. Consider your height as well. Be honest with yourself because, at the end of the day, you're trying to be the best version of yourself. Find your own style—it represents who you are and is unique to you. It's something only you possess, and it speaks for you alone.

Honestly, I'm so glad that you're reading this and that you're willing to listen to some of this advice because my goal is to help you grow and succeed. I'm that one person who is honest with you and not just using you as clickbait—I wish I'd had someone like that when I was starting out.
